Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 1, 2026
EnQuiz (enquiz.org) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. By using EnQuiz, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Without an account — We collect no personally identifiable information. You can browse and take quizzes entirely anonymously.
With a free account — When you register, we collect your email address and a display name. This lets us save your quiz history, track your progress, and personalise your experience.
Usage data — We automatically collect anonymised data such as pages visited, quiz scores, and device type to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate your sessions.
- To save your quiz results, progress history, and preferences.
- To send occasional service emails (e.g. password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- To display relevant ads through Google AdSense on free, non-authenticated pages.
- To improve EnQuiz by analysing aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.
3. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. Third-party services (Google AdSense, Google Analytics) may set their own cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; however, some features — including staying logged in — will not work without them.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party services strictly necessary to operate EnQuiz (e.g. our hosting provider, Google Analytics for anonymised analytics). All third parties are bound by appropriate data-protection agreements.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures — HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, and restricted database access — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take your privacy seriously and act promptly on any incident.
7. Children's Privacy
EnQuiz is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. Registered users can update their profile or request account deletion from the Settings page. For any other requests, contact us directly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of EnQuiz after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
